The Antelope Valley Amateur Radio Club (AVARC) graciously thanks you for visiting our web page. The AVARC defines itself as an education and public service organization whose goal is to reflect the club's values and interests by providing interesting and useful information to our visitors concerning club activities, special events, and ham radio information in general.
The AVARC May membership meeting will take place on
Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 at 7:30PM
at the the Quartz Hill Library, 5040 West Avenue M-2.
This month’s meeting will feature Diana Feinberg AI6DF, ARRL Section Manager for the Los Angeles Section. She will be discussing ARRL affairs both regionally and nationally. She will also be doing a technical presentation on VHF propagation enhancement by reflecting signals of natural and man-made objects. Effective VHF simplex work is essential, especially on the “bad day” should many of our repeaters go down, so be sure not to miss this presentation.
